Besides a new healthy lifestyle and dietary habits, my doctor suggested that I try medi fast, I'm willing to try. I have PCOS, which, among other issues, causes I have a problem with insulin resistance. I was able to achieve a healthy lifestyle and motivation in need to continue it, taking the drug prescription Meridia. 15 weeks I lost 42 pounds.
My question is: I educate myself about what my body needs to maintain a healthy weight. With SOP, the body sometimes has difficulty to use insulin properly and convert it into energy. GI Diet is best for people with PCOS and it discourages the use of any artificial sweeteners, which I no longer eat.
Food of Medi Fast ones that do not contain something created or artificial laboratory is the soups.I looked nutritional facts and products have maltodextrin, Acesulfame potassium, corn solids, chemicals of solutes .... There has been medical studies showing that artificial sweeteners may actually cause insulin resistance. Is this "diet" ok for me to try?
